Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Strive (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to the Strive mobile application and website at joinstrive.app, operated by Strive Social, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us").

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Strive. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We may ask you to verify your age at any time and may terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to users under 13.

Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information (email, username, display name).
  • Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Not create more than one account per person.
  • Not transfer or share your account with others.

You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. If you use a third-party sign-in, their terms also apply to that authentication.

What You Can Do on Strive

Strive lets you create identity-based goals, post updates with photos and captions, follow other users, applaud and comment on updates, send direct messages, and join or create circles (communities). You control the visibility of your goals — public, friends-only, or personal.

Acceptable Use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or content promoting violence or self-harm.
  • Share sexually explicit, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Spam, send unsolicited messages, or engage in excessive self-promotion.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Share another person's private information without their consent.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
  • Circumvent blocks, bans, or other restrictions we impose.

Your Content

You own the content you post on Strive (goals, updates, photos, captions, comments, and messages). By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely in connection with operating the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

You are responsible for the content you post. Do not post content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice.

Direct Messages

Strive provides direct messaging between users. Messages are private between you and the recipient but are not end-to-end encrypted. We store messages on our servers to deliver them and may access message content if required to enforce these Terms, respond to legal requests, or investigate reports of abuse.

Reporting and Blocking

You can report content or users that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. You can also block users to prevent them from viewing your content or contacting you. We review reports and may take action including content removal, warnings, or account suspension or termination. You can also report concerns to safety@joinstrive.app

Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. In cases of severe or repeated violations, termination may be immediate and permanent.

You may delete your account at any time from the settings screen in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, goals, updates, comments, messages, and other data. This action cannot be undone.

Intellectual Property

The Strive name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Disclaimers

Strive is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Strive is a platform for personal goal-setting and community encouragement. It is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, psychological, financial, or otherwise). Content shared by users reflects their personal experience and should not be taken as professional guidance.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strive Social, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Strive Social, Inc. harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Strive after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
